I haven't seen any competitions lately so here's another possible outlet for us. Basically, every weekend there's a topic thrown out there and you make a video based on that topic. I don't think there are any parameters in regard to length or anything. Ultimately, It'd be cool to make it a thing.

Outlets - "Vimeo Weekend Project"
I haven't seen any competitions lately so here's another possible outlet for us. Basically, every weekend there's a topic thrown out there and you make a video based on that topic. I don't think there are any parameters in regard to length or anything. Ultimately, It'd be cool to make it a thing.

Very interesting indeed. It would be something we could do easy enough and I think it may give us that kick in the ass that we need. We should do it every weekend. As you said, make it a thing.
ReplyDeleteYes. I was looking into it a little further and turns out the forum says to keep it under 30 seconds but it doesn't look like it's enforced really heavily. Also, it looks like you have to join the channel before you can know what the upcoming topic is; I guess they email it to you or something. People have been saying something about "winners" but it's still pretty unclear...

ReplyDeleteAgreed. The first thing I have to ask is should we create a joint vimeo account? If so, this would be the place to decide on a name. And secondly, I'm going to out of town, not this weekend, but the next and the following weekends. In short, we'd have to try and do something this weekend or the first weekend on August.

ReplyDeleteGemini (going old, old super old school with that one); Gorilla (it's been our staple for a number of years, I'd be shocked if it were available though); or perhaps we think of something new like Fx3 (read "F" times 3 for three friends or something like that)...
I think it's our prerogative if we want to include "studio" in our name. Do we want to be a studio or a troupe?
Lol. I dont remember gemini. Gorilla would be shocking as well but reminds me too much of our unsuccessful past.
